Spend a day on the water with kayak, canoe and SUP rentals in downtown Warren. Don’t forget a pole – there are plenty of fish! Take an evening hike along one of Warren’s trails or find resources in the Allegheny National Forest, home to more than 200 miles of trails for hiking, biking, climbing, horseback riding, skiing, and ATVing.

Allegheny Outfitters (AO) offers rentals on the 107-mile stretch of the Allegheny River National Wild & Scenic. Headquartered in downtown Warren, their operations include guided tours and workshops, bike maintenance and overnight storage, and an outdoor store that sells quality paddling, camping, hiking and trekking gear.

Peace, Love & Wellness offers private and group yoga and stand up paddleboard (SUP) fitness classes for beginners and advanced.

Breeze Point Landing

This small downtown park along the Allegheny River is popular with those looking to throw a rope into the water as well as gather in the pavilion. Find directions to Breeze Point here.

Clifford R. Betts Park

On the site of the old Warren Airport, Betts Park boasts tennis and bocce courts, as well as softball fields and a public boat dock. For those who wish to enjoy the park at a more leisurely pace, a 1.3-mile hiking trail runs around the perimeter of the park and offers tranquil views of the Allegheny River. The eastern portion of the trail passes by the Penn State Master Gardener’s Trial Garden, where several species of flowering plants developed by the Pennsylvania State University Department of Horticulture are grown and evaluated. Crescent Park

This park is located on the south bank of the Allegheny River. A crushed limestone path winds through the park and provides scenic views of the Allegheny River for walkers and joggers, as well as forty-one species of trees on the Tree Walk.

The western portion of the park features a basketball court, an ADA accessible playground, restrooms, a pavilion, and riverside picnic tables and charcoal grills. This park is part of the city’s Summer Playground program.

Warren Bike Trail

This 3-mile long trail loops along Conewango Bay from Warren to North Warren, offering a nice easy stroll.
