APPOINTING KENNETH MCCORRISON AS PUBLIC SAFETY DIRECTOR
WHEREAS, the Warren County Commissioners have implemented a County-wide Centralized Communication Center that will serve as the 9-1-1 Public Safety Access Point to dispatch all County emergency services; and
WHEREAS, the Warren County Commissioners have established the location of the enhanced 9-1-1 Public Safety Access Point for the County of Warren, which conforms with the Guidelines for Administration of the Public Safety Emergency Telephone Act (Act 78 of 1990, PL. 340, No. 78 as amended), to be the Rouse Annex Building, 100 Dillion Drive, Youngsville.; and
WHEREAS, the Warren County Commissioners have appointed Kenneth McCorrison as the Warren County Public Safety Director; and
WHEREAS, Warren County agrees to use the Wireless E9-1-1 funds solely for the purpose of eligible non-recurring and recurring charges in accordance with the provisions of the Public Safety Emergency Telephone Act, 35 P.S. Section 7011 et seq., the Statewide Wireless E9-1-1 Plan, the County’s Wireless 9-1-1 Plan and all other applicable State laws.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commissioners of Warren County as follows:
Kenneth McCorrison, Warren County Public Safety Director, is authorized to file, update and transmit all required documents and information to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) for distribution to such other agents as required.
The Commissioners of Warren County hereby apply for Wireless E9-1-1 funding pursuant to Section 7021.5 of the Act and further authorize Kenneth McCorrison, Director, to submit an application for the aforementioned funds with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) on behalf of Warren County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution supersedes resolution #2886.
